Battlefields Caravan Park is situated on a working farm about 10kms outside the town of Dundee. After Kwa-Rie we needed to find an alternative caravan park/campsite close to Dundee as it was already dark by the time we had decided to move on. Luckily for us Battlefields accommodated us and our dogs. Owned by the Scheepers family the Battlefields Caravan Park has grassed stands, 26 power points (15 amp), shady trees, campfire/braai (barbeque) facilities, lapa, swimming pool, ablution block, wash-up facilities. It is situated on a farm only 400m from a tar road.
Visitors can enjoy birding, fishing and hiking (there is a hiking trail on the property though natural bush). Tents are welcome.
Connectivity to wi-fi is available and reception is fair. The Scheepers family offered us accommodation at pensioners rates of R100 per night.
