Camping at Country Park in Muldersdrift

Camping at Country Park in Muldersdrift

Country Park in Gauteng offers not only camping, permanent or semi permanent homes but also bed and breakfast.  We chose Country Park as it was the only and closest caravan park we could get to Fourways and the family.     The roads to Country Park are in shocking condition, but then I did experience this as the norm in Gauteng.  Once inside the gates, it was a little piece of heaven.  Elmarie is front office and Marina the owner who also lives on the property, bustle around sorting and guiding staff.   We arrived just at the beginning of Spring, so after a long hard winter, the grass was brown and threadbare.  This was a little annoying for me as trying to keep the campervan clean was a nightmare.  We had a beautiful view of open fields, bontebok and occasionally if we were lucky a giant eagle owl or two.   A boma complete with fridge and fireplace is available for the campers. Stunning to sit and braai on the deck and watch the sun go down.   Ablution block clean and neat.  Wi-fi available, however it is difficult to pick up from the camping site, you might want to take your laptop closer to the guesthouse and office.  Although no laundry facilities to the public, if you speak very nicely to Elmarie, she might just let you bundle a wash or two in her washing machine, if the guesthouse is not too busy.\

Gorgeous pool and if you are feeling strong and fit, you are able to walk from the farm onto the neigbouring farm, down to the river.  Here you will find an abundance of guinea fowl, ducks and egyptian geese.

Definitely a go back for us both.

One of the most appealing things about Cintsa is the pristine sandy beach that follows the curve of the bay for miles. Tina and I had noticed an astonishing […]
