Early Friday morning we headed in to Fiat George. The main technician had already gone on leave, so we had an appie called Ruwan who kindly assisted us, but not being qualified as yet, he was being guided by Fiat Helderberg as to what to do next. They still weren’t sure what the problem was, the computer hadn’t picked up any problems at that stage. Gavin from Helderberg Fiat suggested we head straight to PE as there was a bigger workshop there. We contacted PE workshop manager Willie who informed us, he could only help us on Monday. We had no intention of staying in PE for the weekend. The campsite prices quoted ranged from R390 to R450 a night….high season……ridiculous to say the least. So John after careful thought decided he wasn’t really worried about the overheat gauge…it was fine, as long as he kept the revs below 3000.
