The daytime temps soared to over 40 degrees C. The dogs, especially Quince was taking major strain. He spent most of his time in the campervan, on his feet, planted neatly between the passenger and drivers seats, slobbering all over the dashboard, to such a degree that the hazard button remained stuck in one place. So if you ever need a good Bostick, try Bullie slobber LOL. It was quite distressing for me to see him like this and must admit both John and I questioned whether it was a good idea to take them with us…….Reaching Somerset East, the temperatures were high, but a little breeze was blowing so cooled things down a little. The campsite, as some of you know already was beautiful, bush and trees, lush grass and plenty birdlife, some of which I have never heard of before. We heard cuckoos galore. BUT, now here comes the BUT…the ablutions were D I S G U S T I N G, to say the least….check our website for further details LOL. There had been quite a bit of rain that morning so it was a very interesting trip into and out of the campsite….the campervan handled well. I drove the jeep in and out, to make the load lighter.
