WILLOWMORE CARAVAN PARK

I called to make a provisional booking at Willowmore Caravan Park, but was told to ‘just arrive’, by Justin who apparently is at the local hardware store.  Oom Jan and his wife live on the premises and are responsible for meeting and greeting you on arrival, as well as manning the office and taking cash payments from campers or caravaners.  I was advised that if you are wanting to do a card payment, you either need to do it before you arrive, via eft or visit Justin at the hardware store.

Willowmore Caravan Park is a small park with a  grassed area offering each caravaner/camper a private bathroom, comprising of shower, toilet and washbasin.  This is used only by you for the duration of your stay.  There is a laundry with a washing machine and tumble drier in it.  They were not connected, so cannot say for sure if they are in working order, or not.  The caravan park is situated in the centre of town, close to the shops, so you are able to walk rather than taking your car.  It is not a very easy caravan park to find, but asking a local and you will be directed straight there.

Even though it was high season, the rate was reasonable.  A total of R150 per night, including electricity.
